The Black Cabin was perfect for our couple's getaway. A big selling point for us, especially in this age of difficulty eating out, was the well equipped kitchen which did not disappoint. The rest of the experience turned out wonderfully as well. The cabin is in a very tranquil, private setting but still an easy distance to Ft Bragg & Mendocino (where the botanical gardens are not to be missed). Self check-in was seamless. Though I don't mind doing dishes in general, being fully serviced and so not having to spend time on that was a very nice perk. We hope to return!

This place was better than the pictures! Such thoughtful and cute additions within that made the stay special. They have extra linens and a fully stocked kitchen which made the stay extra stress free. It's close enough to so many activities and stores which to made it convenient, but secluded enough to feel super private. They provided a heater for every room which was more than sufficient enough to keep it warm. The dogs loved the yard space and the house itself. I had a question and the host responded immediately. I will definitely be staying again in the future if I'm in the area. Thanks so much!

Mitch's place was wonderful! We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It's tucked about two miles into the woods after you pass through the roundabout, which makes it feel private and secluded while still being right by the ocean. The setting is beautiful—surrounded by trees with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There's a classic drip coffee maker (no Keurig), which was actually a nice touch because it gave us the chance to pick up a bag of local coffee to enjoy. The kitchen is wrapped in windows, so you can sip your morning coffee while watching wildlife and the sunrise.

The black cabin was an amazing stay, and we are definitely coming back! It is located between Fort Bragg & Mendocino, so visiting either location is an easy 10 to 15 minute drive. It is super private with large windows, there's a large backyard that our pug loved to explore, and the cabin is especially spacious with a lot of amenities and an open kitchen- so things are easy to find, the Wi-Fi is fast, the bathroom is nice and clean, and the beds were comfortable. We really liked the wood stove but we did notice that it can be hard to control the heat levels. Regular fire wood can be hard to lit, so we recommend buying dura flame logs or bringing a space heater, because it can get cold.

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely amazing! The cabin was cozy and comfortable, perfect for two people and our two dogs. The entire space was well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. The location was stunning, with beautiful views of the surrounding forest and easy access to the beach. The entire area is beautiful, super dog friendly and a lot of fun! We particularly enjoyed visiting Glass Beach, which was just a short drive away, as well as taking a ride on the Skunk Train. Overall, we highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a fun getaway in Fort Bragg.
